Step 1 Head to bitcoin.com.au.

You can access bitcoin.com.au from any device, at any time. You’ll need to make payment within 2 hours of placing an order, so check your local Australia Post’s opening times.

Step 2 Choose how much you’d like to buy.

You can buy anything from $50 to $50,000 worth of bitcoin or Ethereum by entering either a dollar or a crypto value.

Step 3 Copy your wallet address.

Copy and paste your wallet address from inside the app. This lets us know where to send your coins. If you don’t have a wallet yet, we recommend EDGE wallet for iPhone and Android. Here is more information about Wallets.

Step 4 Verify your identity online.

This is a simple online process with Australia Post’s Digital ID. Verifying your identity helps us stay compliant with Australian government regulations. You’ll only need to do this if it’s your first time buying with Bitcoin Australia.

Step 5 Make the payment at your Australia Post office.

Make a secure payment at your nearest Australia Post office with EFTPOS or cash. Bring photo ID along with you, just in case you’re asked to confirm your identity. It should only take a few minutes to see your coins in your wallet. We’ll also send you an email confirmation, so you can track the transaction on the blockchain.
