What are Multi-user accounts?
Multi-users are a way to allow other trusted parties access to your account. If you are the original account operator, you can add multi-users to your account to allow them access to perform various tasks, depending on the role you assign to them.
What access levels are available?
Currently, there are five roles to choose from when granting access to your account:
- Viewer: can view account details but cannot trade, withdraw, or make changes.
- Trader: has Viewer access and can also place buy and sell orders.
- Trader with restricted withdrawals: has Trader access and can withdraw to previously used crypto addresses or bank accounts.
- Trader with withdrawals: has Trader with Restricted Withdrawals access and can add new withdrawal destinations.
- Administrator: this person has full access, similar to the primary account holder, except for managing PayPal or credit card deposits.
How do I add, deactivate, or manage Multi-users?
Go to the Settings page and select Manage Users. Here, you can add, view, or deactivate secondary users as needed.
What information is needed to add a user?
To add a user, provide their email address and role. The user will receive an email invitation and must complete verification as the primary account holder did.
Note: Viewer roles do not require verification documents.
Can I change a user’s role?
Roles cannot be changed once assigned, so please choose carefully. This feature is planned for a future update.
How many Multi-users can I add?
- Personal accounts: Unlimited Viewer roles, one Administrator role, and one of any of the three other role types.
- Company accounts: Unlimited Viewer roles, two Administrator roles, and two of any the three other role types.
Can I see what my multi-users have done on the account?
Yes, you can view each user’s action history. Go to Settings > Manage Users, select the overflow menu (three dots) next to the user, and choose Action History.
Can I require approval for withdrawal requests by a user?
Not at this stage, but this feature is in development.
You can assign the Trader with Restricted Withdrawals role to restrict withdrawals to only whitelisted addresses or bank accounts (i.e., addresses or accounts to which withdrawals have been withdrawn in the past) or block withdrawals entirely by assigning the Trader role.
Can Multi-users lock me out of my account?
No, multi-users cannot lock out the primary account holder. However, Administrator-level users can manage other multi-users, including other Administrators.
Can Multi-users make deposits/withdrawals from their own accounts?
Multi-users cannot deposit from their wallet or bank account, deposits must still come from the original account operator’s bank account or crypto wallet. The same goes for withdrawals – withdrawals can only be made to the original account operator’s bank account or crypto wallet.
